SYGMA 2010

Empowered with Innovation, is the dream of every IT professional.  SYGMA 2010, the  annual IT fest was organized on 5^th February 2010, by S.D.M. College Of Business Management. Sygma, in its 9^th year of existence has evolved itself year after year to the changes in the  IT sector.

This fest is an ideal platform for undergraduate students as it tests their  knowledge and skills and thus helps to improve their competency level. S.D.M. College, well known for its innovative programmes is run under the guidance of great visionary Padmabhushan Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade, Dharmadhikari of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala and the dynamic guidance of our beloved principal Dr. Devaraj K. Mrs. Divya Uchil, being the staff co-ordinator and Miss Lasya N. Murthy being the student co-ordinator resulted in the inception of SYGMA – 2010. This year “Innovatus” which means innovation in Latin was chosen as the theme of the fest. This IT fest geared off with a fabulous start on 5th February comprising of 7 events , the names of which urged the participants to bring out their hidden IT potential.

SYGMA - 2010 had the following 7 events :

2. Designing Quest – Genero
3. IT Quiz – Conscientia
4. IT Advertising – Annonceurs
5. Best  IT  Manager – Procurator
6. Hunt  For  Speed – Accelero Venation
7. Dark Horse – Atrum Eques

Well planned deeds yield good results - as the motto says , we started our preparation way too early which made us attain the peak of success.

The one day fest started at 9.00 a.m. with the inauguration ceremony. The chief guest of the function was Mr. Anoop Kudva P, technocrat from TESCO Hindustan Service Centre Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore. He motivated the participants to be globally competent. This was followed by a unique introductory ceremony by the event heads and the trophies of Sygma’10 were unfurled. The fest was successful in attracting various colleges from far and wide across the university.
